Schifferstadt is closed for the season for tours on weekends. If you would like to tour Schifferstadt, you can inquire by email or phone to set up and appointment. Schifferstadt celebrates Museums By Candlelight
Museums By Candlelight will delight children and people of all ages who come to Schifferstadt on December 9th, from 12pm - 6pm to celebrate the holidays. Visitors can make traditional holiday crafts, see Father Christmas, learn about hearth-cooking, and sip warm cider. Adults can enjoy an authentic holiday adult drink—Gluehwein provided by Frederick Sister Cities.

Open For Tours 12/2 & 12/3
Schifferstadt is open for one more weekend before we have our final event of the season. See the museum this Saturday Dec. 2 and Sunday Dec. 3, 1pm - 4pm. Open for Tours Nov. 18th & 19th
Schifferstadt is open Nov. 18th and Nov.19th from 1pm - 4pm.
Holiday gift items available in the Gift Shop include beeswax candles, vintage wood painted signs with German sayings, hand-blown glass, local pottery, and more.
For local Fredericktonians who love historic buildings - commemorative postcards of the buildings of Frederick High School are for sale in the shop as well.

Open October 28 and 29 for Tours
Our museum docents Jennie, Bernie, Olivia and Beth will be giving
tours this weekend, 1pm - 4pm. They will share their knowledge of this rare
historic landmark and of the family who built it.
Our Oktoberfest event was fantastic - with record breaking attendance.
If you came to that event - thank you for your support!!! If you haven't ever
been to Oktoberfest, check it out next year. It is always the third weekend in
October.
Our Annual Meeting is November 4th at 6pm at the Visitors Center.
It is open to our members - and to the public. Please RSVP if you plan to come.
The guest speaker is Hettie Ballweber who will make a presentation about the archaeology
of Schifferstadt.

Oktoberfest is Oct. 21 & 22
Celebrate fall on the grounds of a picturesque, historic German farmhouse.
This traditional festival features juried arts, crafts, cultural activities, German sausage, beer, strudel, and oompah band, and colonial history demonstrators and children’s fun. Event hours are Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. www.FrederickLandmarks.org.

If you are out for bike ride or walk on the multi-use path in Frederick, stop by Schifferstadt for a tour of one of the oldest structures in Frederick. We are open 1pm - 4pm Saturday 9/16 and Sunday 9/17.

September 13th, 7pm - at the C. Burr Artz Library - retired archaeologist, Hettie L. Ballweber, will present a report on the archaeology previously done at the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum. The program is in honor of the site being named as a National Historic Landmark. She will include the various items discovered from the landowners, beginning with the Brunners through the Myers, Steiner and Krantz families as well as some of the prehistoric materials located during the excavation.

Schifferstadt Museum is Open Saturday & Sunday, July 29th & 30th
There will be a celebration on the grounds of Schifferstadt on Saturday July 29th for the unveiling of the National Historic Landmark plaque from 11am - 1pm. All are welcome. (Rain or shine: tent is installed.) There will be regularly scheduled tours from 1pm - 4pm like any other Saturday.
We are also open on Sunday July 30th, 1pm - 4pm.
(The Brunner-only event Friday night is full.)
